Market Rasen Town Council continues to operate below its potential, in part because there are two longstanding town councillor vacancies.
The Town Council wants to evolve and is keen to be more event and community focused. Without a full complement of councillors this makes the transition more challenging.
Given recent local media, there appears to be an abundance of community-minded people who hold views on Market Rasen. Would you be interested in finding out more how you could help and make a difference?

Both town councillor vacancies are available via the co-option process. This means the vacancies are not subject to a public poll. Your application will be considered at a council meeting which you will be invited to attend and to speak in support of your application, if you wish. Council will decide by taking a vote to elect you onto council for the remainder of the current council term which ends early May 2027.
