Market Rasen Town Council currently has two vacant seats.
Are you over 18 years old, a British citizen or you could be an eligible Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, or a qualifying EU citizen or an EU citizen with retained rights and one of the following:
- You are a registered on the electoral roll at Market Rasen
- You might have lived within three miles of Market Rasen’s boundary for at least a year
- You could be the owner or tenant of land in Market Rasen for at least a year
- Your only or main place of work for at least a year is located in Market Rasen

Both town councillor vacancies are available via the co-option process. This means the vacancies are not subject to a public poll. Your application will be considered at a council meeting which you will be invited to attend and to speak in support of your application. Council members will decide by taking a vote to elect you onto council for the remainder of the current council term which ends early May 2027.
