It was resolved to approve the Minutes of the Annual Town Meeting – 5th May 2021

3. Public Forum (30 Minutes) Attendees raised the following matters:

Councillor Bunney requested that members held a minute of reflection for all local community members who had passed away during the year. Particular mention was made of Derek Grayson, David Hill, John Lamming and Tony Bradford.

  • • Speeding and unsafe behaviour of motorcyclists on Willingham Road and past Willingham Woods particularly at weekends and on Wednesdays. It was noted this included unreadable numberplates and deliberate blocking of numberplates. It was highlighted that a meeting was to be arranged with the police and other parties to discuss the issues.
  • • Overgrown and poorly maintained pavements in some areas of Market Rasen but also on the roads between Osgodby and Market Rasen, and Tealby and Market Rasen. It was suggested that the Town council contact the County council to ask that these be maintained.
  • • Nationally reducing numbers of GP’s due to retirement. It was suggested the Town council contact the local GP’s surgery to ask if they can be of assistance in publicising any GP vacancies or recruitment campaigns.
  • • Local Policing and enforcement, with an emphasis on the lack of resources. Changes to the local policing team and the introduction of a county exclusive traffic response team were highlighted.

4. To note that representatives of the Town Council will be present at the Pop-Up Market on Sat 16th April for community engagement.

The above was noted .
