NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN and COUNCILLORS ARE SUMMONED to attend the meeting of Market Rasen Town Council, on Wednesday 11th September 2024 at 7.00pm in the Committee Room of the Festival Hall, Caistor Road, Market Rasen LN8 3HT.
Members of the public and the press are invited to attend. This is public meeting which may be filmed, recorded, and published.

4.Public Forum
Members of the public may address the council for a period that shall not exceed twenty minutes in respect of the business on the agenda, or raise items which may become future agenda items.
5.Declarations of Interest
To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2012 and to consider any applications for dispensations in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests.
Councillors may make a declaration of interest at this point and during the course of the meeting.
6.Minutes

9.Co-option Applications
a)To consider applications received and invite applicants(s) to address the Council in support of their application.

10.Linwood Road
To discuss and resolve any comments or objections the Council wishes to submit to LCC re the Proposed Revocation of Waiting Restrictions on Linwood Road, Market Rasen.
11.Pets as Prizes
To consider the concern raised about the number of cases reported to the RSPCA each year, regarding pets given as prizes via fairgrounds, social media and other channels. In particular the council is concerned for the welfare of those animals that are being given away as prizes.
a)Resolve to ban outright the giving of live animals as prizes in any form on land Market Rasen Town Council owns.
b)Resolve to write to the UK Government urging an outright ban on the giving of live animals as prizes on both public and private land.
12.Buildings / Town Appearance
Market Rasen Town Council thanks all involved in recent redecoration and refurbishment projects on several buildings in Rasen. The quality of workmanship has had a positive effect on the town's ambience and appearance. However, it acknowledges that there are still buildings where the condition of their exteriors detracts from this positive demeanour of the Town.
- Resolve to work with WLDC and other appropriate bodies to approach the owners of these buildings with the intend of encouraging them to undertake work to the high standards set out in the conservation area documentation.
13.Finance
a)Resolve to accept payments made since the last meeting of the Council.
b)To resolve accounts for payment.
c)To resolve to add the Town Clerk to the bank account mandate.
d)To retrospectively resolve and approve the removal of employee(s) from the bank mandate who are no longer Town Council employees.
